My dear and best friend, Dennis Driggs passed away peacefully on November 11, 2009. Dennis had been a cancer warrior for the past 20 years. Additionally, Dennis had been part of a cancer study group at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda MD for the past several years. He loved music, travel, film and museums. We had many lively conversations over a French press of good African coffee or martinis. Dennis was a total news junkie but detested the Dallas media. We talked everyday and I miss him every day.
In keeping with his wishes, Dennis was cremated and no services/memorials were held. However, the Driggs family has set up two memorial funds – one at the Nasher Sculpture Garden in Dallas; and also, with the American Cancer Society.
